Piers Morgan posts angry rant at Arsenal performance at Bournemouth

By Amir Mir

Piers Morgan expressed his anger on Twitter at Arsenal’s display during their 3-3 draw against Bournemouth at Dean Court on Tuesday evening.

Arsene Wenger’s side were 2-0 down within the first 20 minutes when Charlie Daniels and a penalty from Callum Wilson sent the home fans into party mode.

Midfielder Granit Xhaka was at fault for the Cherries’ second goal after he fouled Ryan Fraser in the penalty area.

Fraser was at the heart of the action once again in the second half when his goal from a tight angle saw the home team go 3-0 up inside 58 minutes.

The Gunners then produced their magnificent fightback when Alexis Sanchez and a beautiful volley from substitute Lucas Perez saw the scoreline at 3-2 going into the last ten minutes.

Cherries defender Simon Francis was then sent off with Olivier Giroud scoring the equaliser in stoppage time.

Broadcaster Morgan, who is an Arsenal fan, had this to say about the performance as posted on his personal Twitter account.

He then expressed his delight at their comeback

Despite the late fightback and points, Wenger’s side could end up losing further ground in the title race.

They are eight points behind leaders Chelsea who visit White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening to take on fifth-placed Tottenham.

A win for their north London rivals would seem them leapfrog their neighbours into fourth, but a win for Antonio Conte’s side will see them open up an 11 point lead at the top.
