PL rivals eye up shock swoop for Everton attacker, £15m will seal potential deal - report

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is eyeing up a “shock” swoop for Everton teenager Ademola Lookman, according to a report.
The Sun claims that the Toffees are not keen on the idea of flogging Lookman, 19, but an offer of £15million from their Premier League rivals is understood to be enough to seal any potential deal.
The report says that Arsenal have learnt that England Under-21 attacker Lookman may be tempted to move back to London less than a year after he signed for Everton from Charlton in the January transfer window.
He hit the ground running at Goodison Park with a goal on his debut against Manchester City, but this season has seen him fail to make a single appearance in the Premier League with Ronald Koeman reluctant to deploy wingers in his starting line-up.
The Sun reports that Arsenal tried to sign Lookman before he joined the Toffees in January as the Merseyside club had offered him a better deal.

And now it seems the Gunners are looking to revisit that interest with the futures of Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez still in doubt.
Football Insider Verdict
It is still early days for Lookman at Everton and there will almost certainly be more chances for him as the season progresses. After a poor start to the campaign from some of the summer buys, it may not be before too long before Koeman takes the decision to rotate his squad and give Lookman a chance. However if an acceptable offer does come in during January, then it may be hard to see the England youth international stay on Merseyside to avoid his career stalling. Arsenal may not be the place to go though. Although they are likely to lose some of their wide attacking players, Wenger doesn’t have the best of histories of making young English players regular starters in his side.
