Liverpool fans are desperate to see Erik ten Hag stay at Man United “forever” ahead of their showdown at Anfield on Sunday (17 December).

Two of the Premier League’s biggest rivals win go head-to-head once again, but while one manager is fighting to win the title, one is fighting to keep his job.

The Reds’ 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, and Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, saw Jurgen Klopp climb to the top of the table – one point clear of the second-place Gunners.

The Red Devils meanwhile are down in sixth and after an surprise 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday (9 December), they have a tough week ahead.

When the travel to Merseyside on the weekend, their Champions League fate would have been determined, but a needed win against Bayern Munich looks unlikely.

This comes after four media outlets including Sky Sports reported last week that Ten Hag has lost the support of “50 per cent of the Man United dressing room”.

However, Liverpool fans are very happy with the state of things at Old Trafford and have taken to social media to beg their rivals to keep the under-pressure boss.

This Red warned his club not to thump United too much otherwise it could see ten Hag get the sack.

This fan wants ten Hag, and the United players, to be given life-long deals in Manchester.

This supporter does not care about what happens to the Dutchman after their game, but wants him in the dugout at Anfield.

Other supporters want ten Hag to spend his entire career at United.

One fan fancied their chances against the struggling Red Devils and predicted a double-figure goal haul for Liverpool.

This fan, in response to United hero Rio Ferdinand’s tweet regarding ten Hag’s position, sarcastically agreed that he should get more time.

One supporter feels ten Hag’s presence at Old Trafford will make Liverpool’s journey to league success much easier.
