Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves is being linked with a move away from Molineux this summer, according to a report.

El Gol Digital, the Spanish media outlet, states that Manchester United are showing an interest in the player after it emerged that Ander Herrera could leave Old Trafford with Atletico Madrid waiting in the wings.

But Championship side Wolves only signed the 20-year-old Portuguese ace last summer for £15million from Porto and has a contract with the West Midlands based club until 2022.

The defensive midfielder has starred in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season and has helped to guide the team to the pinnacle of England’s second-flight, with four goals in 32 outings.

Neves will be one of the players that the club will be desperate to keep hold of should they attain Premier League promotion which as it stands, it looks as though they will in spite of recent form.

Wolves are top of the table by six-points but their march at the helm has halted slightly lately and they have stuttered for consistency.

Defeat last time out, against fellow high-flyers Fulham, cut the gap for Santo’s team, who have picked up just two points from a possible nine in the previous three league outings.

But against Reading this weekend they can once against re-establish their dominance over the other sides in the Championship by getting maximum points from Jaap Stam’s men who have struggled all season long.

Here is a selection of Wolves fan reaction to the reported interest of Manchester United in their star midfielder:
