Tottenham are reportedly keen on signing attacker Ante Rebic from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and should ramp up their interest after his latest performance at the World Cup.
German publication SportBild, as translated via Sport Witness, reports that Spurs are monitoring the 24-year-old and could try to secure a deal for him this summer.
It is understood that Frankfurt want around £26.3million for their winger amid interest from Spurs and Premier League rials Huddersfield, with deals likely to be discussed next month.
However, Spurs should step up their bid to land him after he showcased his talents for Croatia in their 3-0 win over Argentina on Thursday in the World Cup group stages.
The right-winger netted the opening goal with a stunning volley and has looked a real attacking threat in both of Croatia’s matches in the tournament.
His side look good enough to go deep into the competition and there will surely be more interest in him if he continues to perform at such a high level.
Mauricio Pochettino should make contact to Frankfurt ASAP to try negotiate a deal and bring the flyer to England ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Rebic is fresh off the back of a decent season in Germany where he scored nine goals in just 28 appearances and will be brimming with confidence after his latest international outing.
In other Tottenham transfer news, they have joined the hunt to sign a £18million-rated playmaker.
