Pontus Jansson has revealed his pride in Leeds’ willingness to defend eachother in the heat of battle after their 2-1 loss to Huddersfield.
Towards the end of the west Yorkshire derby, a confrontation occurred after Huddersfield boss David Wagner entered Garry Monk’s technical area following Huddersfield’s late winner.
Sweden international Jansson revealed that he was proud on his personal Twitter account to see his teammates “stand up for each other” during the fracas.

Referee Simon Hooper sent both managers to the stands for their part in the touchline tussle, while yellow cards were shown to Jansson, Liam Bridcutt and Elias Kachunga.
Sunday’s feisty clash was Jansson’s first game after confirming that he would join Leeds permanently from Serie A side Torino.
The defender has been in wonderful form for the Yorkshire giants this term, but was unable to find the kind of performance that has earned him a place in the hearts of the Elland Road faithful.
Goals from Huddersfield duo Izzy Brown and Michael Hefele secured all three points for Huddersfield, despite top scorer Chris Wood equalising for Leeds towards the end of the first half.
Leeds will now be focusing on Saturday’s clash against Neil Warnock’s Cardiff at Elland Road, as they look to get back to winning ways to reignite their promotion hopes.
In other Leeds news, former Whites star Andy Couzens has claimed that these two reasons were crucial in seeing Huddersfield beat Leeds.
