Premier League big-six manager now favourite to be sacked next as odds slashed

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is now the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked after their 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

Frank took over as Tottenham boss in the summer after being poached from Brentford to replace Ange Postecoglou.

He was backed in the summer window with some big signings like Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus, but Spurs have struggled once more in the Premier League so far this season.

Forest beat Frank’s side 3-0 on Sunday (14 December) to consign them to a sixth league defeat of the season and 11th place in the table as it stands.

Football Insider recently revealed that Frank is not under serious pressure at Spurs right now, but more heavy defeats to teams below them could well see him sacked soon.

Frank is the favourite among PL managers to be sacked

A brace from Callum Hudson-Odoi and a stunning Ibrahim Sangare strike allowed Forest to run out 3-0 winners at the City Ground as Frank’s side mustered just one shot on target all game.

They beat Brentford and Slavia Prague ahead of Sunday’s game, but had not won in five matches before that after heavy defeats to rivals Arsenal and PSG in the Champions League.

With the pressure rising and the January window looming, the bookmakers have Frank priced as the favourite among the 20 Premier League managers to be sacked next.

The Dane is as short as 2/1 to be relieved of his duties before any other boss, with Leeds manager Daniel Farke alongside Burnley’s Scott Parker at 5/2, while Liverpool’s Arne Slot is priced as short as 4/1.

Oliver Glasner leads the odds to replace Frank

It would certainly not come as a shock to see Frank sacked soon, with Crystal Palace potentially set to deliver the final blow when they face Spurs on 28 December.

Tottenham could look to Palace boss Glasner as a possible Frank replacement regardless of the result at Selhurst Park, with the bookies making him their current favourite to be their next manager at 5/1 odds.

Fulham manager Marco Silva comes in next at 8/1 alongside Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, while former Brighton and current Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi is priced at 12/1 to take over in North London soon.

Palace are desperate to keep Glasner and want him to sign a new contract, but he could choose to depart before his Eagles deal expires at the end of this season.
