Premier League talks could cause ‘huge problem’ for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp – pundit

Paul Robinson has claimed a Premier League series on Netflix would not be welcomed by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said such a programme would be “a huge problem” for many clubs.

According to The Times‘ Martyn Ziegler (23 September), top-flight clubs have been informed about an approach from Netflix to do a ‘Formula 1: Drive To Survive’-style programme.

It is said that talks will now take place to sound out whether a potential project would be workable.

According to the Daily Mail‘s Charles Sale (September 2018), Jurgen Klopp turned down the opportunity for Liverpool to partake in an Amazon documentary.

The ‘All or Nothing’ series has given fans behind-the-scenes access at Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham in recent years.

When asked by Football Insider if Klopp would likely oppose a Netflix documentary in light of his previous stance, Robinson said: “It will cause issues.

“It is not for everybody.

“When there is cameras around it is difficult to be yourself. You have to try and come across as yourself but you are conscious that there are cameras there. You cannot talk how you would want to. It is not for everybody.

“If the Premier League make a blanket decision there will be a lot of pushback from managers like Jurgen Klopp. I think it would cause a huge problem.”

In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Liverpool could seal ‘bragging rights’ over Man City as £175million deal is agreed.
