Brendan Rodgers has stated that he is reasonably content with the way the January transfer window has gone so far at Celtic Park.
Although he wants to bring more players in during the window, he believes that signing players who will add that extra bit of quality to the squad takes time.
So far the Bhoys have signed Marvin Compper from Leipzig and Lewis Morgan from St Mirren , and Rodgers has assured fans that the club is always on the look-out for players.
“We know what we want and we’re pretty calm on that,” he said, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“We just need to bring in quality. I’m not concerned about the numbers we bring in. The job here to bring in quality to improve the level we are at and that usually takes time.”
The Bhoys could do with some additions to the squad as they are currently in the middle of an injury crisis.
New arrival Marvin Compper is set to miss a month with a calf injury, whilst Stuart Armstrong is recovering from a hernia operation.
Tom Rogic has been ruled out of action until March with his ankle injury, whilst Leigh Griffiths has a similar injury and could miss a few games.
The problems are just what Rodgers didn’t need as the Hoops return to domestic action following their winter break in Dubai.
Celtic’s first game in the second-half of the season is a Scottish Cup fourth round tie against Brechin City at Celtic Park on Saturday.
