PSG confirm status of reported two-year deal for Arsenal manager
By Aramide Oladipo
Paris Saint-Germain director of football Patrick Kluivert has categorically denied rumours that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be joining the Ligue 1 champions in the summer.
With Wenger still remaining tight-lipped about his current contract situation at Arsenal, there has been a lot of speculation about PSG’s interest in the French manager.
The Sun reported that the French club had offered Wenger a two-year deal to take over from Unai Emery this summer.
However, speaking in the Metro, Kluivert has clarified the situation and claimed that there is no truth in the stories linking Wenger with a move to the French capital this summer.
“Wenger at PSG? This is false,” Kluivert said.

“Not true. There is a zero percent chance that this will happen.”
This will be music to the ears of current PSG manager Unai Emery who has failed to impress during his first season in charge of the club.
Emery has faced heavy criticism in France as his side are currently second in Ligue 1 and they trail current leaders Monaco by three points with eight matches of the season remaining.
There was also unforgettable heartbreak in the Champions League as Emery’s side were knocked out of the competition after losing 6-1 to Barcelona in the second leg at the Camp Nou – losing 6-5 on aggregate.
Kluivert’s announcement could turn out to the biggest hint yet that Wenger will stay and extend his contract with Arsenal.
