PSG star Meunier makes dire Champions League prediction for Celtic
By James Black
Paris Saint-Germain star Thomas Meunier reckons Celtic will finish bottom of their Champions League group after the two sides met last week.
The big-spending French side thrashed the Hoops 5-0 at Celtic Park and Meunier thinks Brendan Rodgers’ side will finish behind Belgian side Anderlecht.
Anderlecht faced Bayern Munich in the other group game – losing 3-0 to the Germans – as the Champions League got underway.
Meunier believes that despite struggling in Germany, Anderlecht will prove too strong for the Scottish champions.
“It was far from easy at Bayern Munich for Anderlecht, but that’s the same for every club,” said Meunier as quoted by the Scottish Sun on their website.

“Against Celtic, it will be a different situation for Anderlecht.
“I really think Anderlecht will finish third in our group.”
Meunier joined PSG in 2016 from Club Brugges for €7million and made 36 appearances last season for the Parisians before losing his place to recent signing Dani Alves.
Celtic travel to Belgium to face Anderlecht on September 27th before group favourites Bayern Munich visit Celtic Park,
Belgian international Meunier was an unused substitute in PSG’s romp in Glasgow as Unai Emery’s side went top of the group after the first round of games.
Before Brendan Rodgers’ side return to European action, they face a trip to face Dundee in the Betfred Cup quarter-final before making the short journey to Ibrox to face Rangers in the first Old Firm clash of the season.
Celtic were back in domestic action yesterday, beating Ross County 4-0, as Mousse Dembele made a goal-scoring return after a two-month injury lay-off.
