
PSV stance on selling Ricardo Pepi to West Ham after offer submitted
PSV are not willing to sell Ricardo Pepi this month after rejecting an offer from West Ham, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the 22-year-old remains an important part of Peter Bosz’s side and they are adamant he will not leave before 3 February.
The Dutch outfit are top of the Eredivisie progressed into the playoff round of the Champions League after a 3-2 win against Liverpool on 29 January.
As a result, they are not willing to weaken their squad mid-season and the Hammers’ interest in Pepi is not expected to go any further.
Top Premier League sides have also been keeping an eye on the USA international so far this season and could make a move when the summer transfer window opens.
PSV respond to West Ham interest in Ricardo Pepi
Pepi has scored 17 goals and picked up three assists in 28 senior appearances for PSV this season, with just nine of those appearances coming from the start.
Luuk de Jong remains the starting striker under Bosz’s leadership, meaning the American has been forced to accept a bench role behind the club captain most weeks.
However, it is him impact off the bench which has caught the attention of Premier League sides who could offer him more regular playing time.
West Ham had considered a loan offer after seeing their permanent bid rejected, but PSV are very unlikely to agree to the striker’s exit on a short-term basis.

Instead, they are expected to listen to offers for his signature in the summer when they will assess their squad and enter the transfer market for replacements .
