Pundit ‘blown away’ by Anthony Gordon after ‘unbelievable’ thing he’s spotted from Newcastle United
Anthony Gordon will be handed a first Newcastle United start for this weekend’s game against Bournemouth.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the winger’s Toon debut.
Newcastle announced the signing of Gordon from Everton on 30 January.

The 21-year-old made his Magpies debut in Saturday’s (4 February) draw with West Ham, replacing Allan Saint-Maximin with 20 minutes to go.
“I was blown away after he came on against West Ham,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“He did more in the first few minutes of being on the pitch than Allan Saint-Maximin did all game and that won’t have gone unnoticed by Eddie Howe.
“He made a strong impact off the bench and he should have had an assist if it wasn’t for an unbelievable tackle to stop Callum Wilson from scoring.
“He looks so sharp, sharper than he has done all season but sometimes you just need a change in scenery to get back on track.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he was thrown into the starting XI against Bournemouth because Saint-Maximin hasn’t been doing it this season.
“Almiron has gone off the boil but he has a bit more money in the bank because of the goals he scored.
“Gordon was signed for big money so he should be ready to come straight in.”

Gordon fell out of favour towards the end of his Everton career, failing to start any of his last three games for the club.
He has scored three league goals this term.
