Pundit can't believe Tottenham could sack Nuno after 'Knives Out' update
Danny Mills has urged Tottenham to give Nuno Espirito Santo time in his role as manager.
The former Leeds defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the Portuguese boss needs the opportunity to “change the team for the better”.
Football.London reported on Monday (September 20th) that there is growing unrest among Tottenham fans after recent performances, claiming that the “knives are out” for the Portuguese manager.
After winning their first three games, Spurs have slumped to successive 3-0 league losses against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Tottenham have scored the second-least Premier League goals this season, with their expected goals tally of 4.6 the worst in the division (FBref).
These struggles have coincided with a goalless streak for Spurs talisman Harry Kane.

Mills insisted that Tottenham need to stick by their new manager – possibly even until the end of the season.
“They have to give him time – it’s as simple as that,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“You employ a manager like him and give him limited resources, plus there’s a threat of losing your best player immediately. Realistically – what do you expect?
“You have to give him the opportunity to change the team for the better.
“If you don’t, what’s the point? He was very low down on the list, so if they sack him inside two or three months then who else is going to take the job?
“Tottenham would be very ill-advised to sack the manager at this stage – or even consider it this season.”
Espirito Santo faces a second London derby in as many fixtures this weekend, with Spurs travelling to Arsenal tomorrow.
The ex-Wolves boss joined the club on a two-year deal with an option for a third.
