Pundit cites Sadio Mane as Liverpool 'dying for some new signings'
Liverpool are crying out for new signings as their performances have been “so unconvincing it’s untrue”.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Liverpool have only won two of their six Premier League games this season and lost their opening Champions League group stage clash 4-1 to Napoli.
However, they returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Ajax on Tuesday (13 September).
Despite the recent win, Wenham is yet to be convinced by Liverpool and claims the club is crying out for a new midfielder.
“You have to go back to those lucky wins they had against Newcastle and the extra time that shouldn’t have been played, as well as them destroying Bournemouth, who were in complete freefall at the time,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Apart from that, they look so unconvincing it’s untrue. They don’t look like the Liverpool team we have all seen and respected as one of the best.
“They were the best side in Europe in my opinion for about 18 months around the time they made it to two Champions League finals.
“They were phenomenal and won the Premier League the year after. It shows how important Mane was to that team.
“That team is screaming for a top-level midfielder.
“They really need to freshen up their options there because starting games with Henderson and Milner, they are dying for some new signings.”
