Pundit claims it will be a ‘shock’ if Raphinha completes sensational Leeds United return
Raphinha returning to Leeds United would be a “shock” as he is “better” than the Championship side.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie suggested that his £55million move to Barcelona last summer has not been a success.
The Blaugrana are reportedly willing to let the Brazilian leave after underperforming for Xavi’s side, notching 3 goals and seven assists this season – far below the expectations of the Spanish giants.

The skilful 27-year-old was a favourite at Elland Road during his two seasons after bagging 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 appearances.
However, McAvennie wouldn’t bet on a surprise reunion but claimed there would be plenty of interested clubs if he were to depart Barca.
“It’s a hell of a heavy jersey at Barcelona,” he told Football Insider.
“He could go back to Leeds or anywhere else and be a star again but when you walk through that door at Barcelona, it’s one of those places where you know it’s elite.
“Like Celtic or Real Madrid, you’ve got to be elite to play in these jerseys.
“He may have thought he shouldn’t have been there. It’s not worked out great but sometimes if you’re playing with all these great players you think that you shouldn’t.
“It would be great if he went back to Leeds, but, oh my god, it would be a shock. If this happens, everyone will be surprised.”

“I don’t want to disrespect Leeds but he’s better than them at the moment.
“He was a wonderful player there but if he leaves there won’t be a shortage of teams looking at him.”
