Pundit claims Rangnick can ‘transform’ Fred into a Man United star – and this is how
Paddy Kenny has backed Fred to be transformed into a bona fide Man United star by Ralf Rangnick.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has been impressed by the midfielder’s recent form.
Fred, 28, scored the winner in Rangnick’s first game in charge of Man United, against Crystal Palace last Sunday (5 December).

The midfielder has often been criticised during his time at Old Trafford.
His central midfield partnership with Scott McTominay, often referred to as “McFred”, has been a source of ridicule for rival fans.
However, Kenny claims Fred can shake off this marker and reinvent himself under Rangnick.
“Look, he scored a cracking goal against Palace, he looked brilliant,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That was the best of Fred. I think you get more out of him when he attacks.
“All of his worst moments have come at the back. This happens with a new manager.
“The slate is clean, you get to reinvent yourself into a key member of the squad.
“There is no reason Fred can’t make himself valuable to Man United by continuing to perform.
“Maybe this is what he needed to add a bit of life back into his career. He can transform himself, I’m sure.
“Let’s see if he continues to perform, Man United could do with a decent option in midfield.”

Fred has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils this season.
Man United are next in action against Norwich on Saturday evening (11 December).
