Steven Gerrard will be “licking his lips” at the prospect of having all four of his strikers fully fit for the first time at Rangers, according to Michael Brown.
The former Premier League midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, has tipped Kemar Roofe to hit the ground running alongside the likes of Jermain Defoe, Alfredo Morelos and Cedric Itten.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Gerrard admitted it was “fantastic” to finally have all his attacking options available after their respective absences.
🎙️ SG: It is fantastic to have our attacking options and is the first time I have had this luxury. This is the challenge of the job and I get paid to pick the team based on the work in training. It was a good performance from Jermain (Defoe) at the weekend and a world-class goal

Defoe missed the start of the new campaign due to a hamstring problem, while Roofe and Itten have been sidelined through injury during the season.
Despite having four senior strikers, James Tavernier currently tops the scoring charts at Rangers with nine goals this season, while Ryan Kent and Morelos have both netted five apiece.
Brown admits Gerrard has got a wealth of quality at his disposal up front and that he will be raring to make use of them all over the coming weeks.
Brown told Football Insider: “He’ll be licking his lips, especially after the results he’s had, that’s for sure. They’re sat in a really good place.
“That front line, Kemar Roofe has had mixed fortunes, he left Leeds and now he’s back at Rangers. You feel like he’ll score goals for them, they’ll be creating opportunities for him.
“It’s looking really healthy for Rangers.”
Roofe has netted three goals since his move from Anderlecht, while fellow summer signing Itten and veteran hitman Defoe both have two.
The former Spurs and England striker netted his 300th club goal of his career against Kilmarnock on Sunday.
