Pundit expects Tottenham to accept ‘£15m’ Japhet Tanganga bid after update

Alan Hutton has claimed Tottenham could sell Japhet Tanganga for £15million after AC Milan interest.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs right-back suggested Antonio Conte will want Tanganga to move on this summer.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano (18 July), AC Milan are in talks with Spurs director Fabio Paratici over a potential move for the 23-year-old.

The defender has three years remaining on his contract with the London club.

He joined the club’s youth academy in 2015 and signed a professional deal in 2020.

When asked for his assessment of the latest, Hutton told Football Insider: “I liked him when he burst onto the scene at Tottenham.

He was that rough and aggressive player and nobody really got past him. Can I see him fitting into that Antonio Conte way? Not really.

It doesn’t surprise me that they’re going to move him on.

I think that would be amazing move to got to AC Milan. To sample a different culture, play for one of the biggest teams in football, I think it would be a great move. You look at [Fikayo] Tomori who went there and he’s excelled as well.

Tottenham

If [Cameron] Carter-Vickers went for £10million to Celtic, they probably see Tanganga as possibly a better all-round player therefore they would want more.

We are talking £15m plus I would’ve thought and then try and reinvest it. It will be interesting to see what happens but I definitely think he’ll be one Conte will want to move on.”
