Pundit predicts Liverpool ‘shock’ is on the way – ‘you have to worry for them’
Liverpool have lost their “fear factor” after only winning two of their opening seven Premier League games.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ recent results.
Liverpool drew 3-3 with Brighton on Saturday (1 October), leaving the club 11 points off the top of the Premier League although they do have a game in hand on league leaders Arsenal.
The Reds were shell-shocked by the Seagulls’ rapid start to the game as they found themselves 2-0 down after 17 minutes.
Kenny claims teams are no longer scared of Liverpool and he expects more “shock” results over the coming weeks.
“Once you see teams going there and getting results, other teams model themselves on that to get the results,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Teams go there and see Brighton and Newcastle being positive, they think they can do that as well. You could see more shock results over the next few weeks.
“Liverpool are still a tremendous side but I think you will see sides go there now and nicking points or even winning, you have to worry for them.
“They have lost that fear factor. I went there a few times with promoted teams, you accept that it’s a game where it is a bonus if you get anything out of it.
“But teams now, they will have a go. They can get something out of those games now when they couldn’t two or three years ago.”

Liverpool are next in Premier League action against Arsenal on Sunday (9 October).
The Gunners have only lost one game this season and remain top of the league.
