Pundit fears Premier League club will poach Ange Postecoglou from Celtic
Paul Robinson fears Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will be targeted by Premier League clubs in the near future.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one heaped praise on the 57-year-old for the “outstanding” job he has done at Parkhead.
The Hoops romped to a 4-0 win over Rangers on Saturday to go five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to Sky Sports (5 September), Postecoglou said his team are “getting better and better.”
The Australian manager joined Celtic in June 2021 on a 12-month rolling contract.
When asked by Football Insider if the likes of Leicester City and Aston Villa could come knocking for Postecglou if they sack their managers, Robinson said: “That will be the worry.
“Postecoglou has done an outstanding job since he has come into there.
“When he first came in, I had to do a lot of research on his background. He was an unknown quantity. You have to give Celtic a lot of credit for the way the club sourced him. They did their due diligence.
“He has transformed them. You forget how far behind Rangers they were when he came in.

“Scottish football, financially, is where it is. The Premier League will always be a big draw. Whenever anyone does well they will be linked with jobs south of the border.
“Look at Steven Gerrard at Rangers and Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, both of them made the move.”
