Pundit fears Soares bust-up with Arteta after what he's seen at Arsenal
Kevin Campbell fears Cedric Soares has fallen out with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta behind the scenes.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker is baffled as to why Cedric, 29, has been frozen out over the past six weeks.
Cedric has not kicked a ball for Mikel Arteta’s side since the Europa League quarter-finals against Slavia Prague in mid-April.
The right-back has been an unused substitute in all of Arsenal’s nine fixtures since, even though their only recognised left-back Kieran Tierney has missed five of those games through injury.
Campbell claimed Granit Xhaka’s selection at left-back ahead of Cedric suggests there has been a disagreement between player and manager.
“What is going on with Cedric? Something must have go on in the background,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“There is a problem there because Arteta has been playing Granit Xhaka at left-back rather than him. Cedric could have played there and Xhaka could have played in midfield. To me, that’s a concern.
“Ever since that Slavia Prague game, Cedric hasn’t kicked a ball and I cannot put my finger on why.
“There might have been a disagreement in the background. It is the only thing I can think of because before that he was playing on the right and the left hand side of the defence and let’s be honest he was playing well.”
