Pundit issues ‘big’ Kieran Tierney transfer claim after Newcastle United source’s reveal
Alan Hutton has suggested Newcastle United would be the perfect fit for Kieran Tierney.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Newcastle fans would “love” Tierney and the way he plays and suggested he is better than their current options Dan Burn and Matt Targett.
On 19 February, sources told this site that the Magpies are closely monitoring the 25-year-old as they search for a left-back who can slot straight in to the starting XI.

The former Celtic star has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates after the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko in the summer.
The Scotland international is highly regarded by Eddie Howe and his coaching staff at St James’ Park.
Tierney’s current Arsenal contract runs until 2026 after signing an extension in the summer of 2021.
When asked if the left-back could get the game time he is looking for at St James’, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think he could.
“I have always liked Kieran Tierney as a footballer. It is hard for me to say but when he was at Celtic he was outstanding. For Scotland as well.

“I knew it was going to be a big jump going down to the Premier League but I knew he was ready for it. Unfortunately they have brought in Zinchenko who has been outstanding.
“But I think somewhere like Newcastle, where he would be loved, they would love the way he plays, I think that would suit. For me, I think he is a better player overall than their current options.“
