Pundit issues ‘dangerous’ Man United verdict after Jadon Sancho report
Noel Whelan has backed Man United attackers Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho to earn call-ups to the England squad on Thursday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United striker said a return to Gareth Southgate’s squad could make the duo “even more dangerous” to Premier League defenders.
Rashford and Sancho were dropped from the England squad at the end of last season amid struggles at club level.

The two United forwards have excelled this season though, helping Erik ten Hag’s side secure four straight wins in the Premier League.
According to the Daily Mail‘s Rob Draper (10 September), the pair are set to return to the Three Lions squad for Nations League fixtures against Italy and Germany.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Whelan said: “I think they deserve it.
“Give them credit where credit is due.
“There was a lot of speculation about their performances. People were looking at them with a magnifying glass and not giving them great reviews.

“Last season they were struggling for minutes and form. They were not getting assists and getting goals. When players are in form Gareth Southgate recognises that.
“They are knocking on the door and if they are picked it will give them even more confidence and belief. They could come back an even more dangerous animal because they will have that belief and confidence. Playing for your national side does that.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Man United fans will be ‘shocked’ by a £94million Cristiano Ronaldo reveal.
