Pundit issues emphatic Sancho claim after Rangnick's first Man United training session today

Danny Mills has tipped Jadon Sancho to go from “strength to strength” at Manchester United under new boss Ralf Rangnick.

The former Leeds defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 21-year-old has the talent and ability to nail down a regular starting berth at Old Trafford.

As quoted by Statman Dave on Twitter (29 November), new Man United boss Rangnick claimed Sancho was “one of the best talents in Europe” in 2020.

Sancho initially struggled to impress following a reported £73m summer move.

However, Mills insisted the “really talented” winger can “make that midfield role his” under Rangnick, who took his first Man United training session today.

“He just needs to have a good season,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.

“Sancho needs to play regularly and make that midfield role his, and I don’t doubt he can do that at all.

“If he keeps playing well and keeps learning under Rangnick, he can go from strength to strength at Man United.

“He’s clearly a really talented player.”

Rangnick will take charge of his maiden Red Devils match against Crystal Palace on Sunday (5 December).

Sancho scored his first two Man United goals in consecutive games against Villareal (23 November) and Chelsea (28 November) last month.

The winger struggled to impose himself under former Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The former Dortmund star started just four Premier League games under the Norweigan.

The winger has scored three goals in 23 England caps since making his Three Lions debut in 2018.
