Pundit issues emphatic Tottenham verdict as Eric Dier fumes – ‘you cannot let that happen’
Paddy Kenny has claimed Tottenham “cannot let” the defeat to Arsenal derail their season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League number one pointed to the fact that it was the Lilywhites’ first league defeat of the season.
Antonio Conte’s side lost 3-1 at the Emirates on Saturday (1 October).
In a post-match interview with Viaplay Fotball (1 October), Eric Dier was visibly frustrated after the defeat.
The centre-half claimed Mikel Arteta’s side started both halves better than Spurs.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Tottenham’s defeat at the Emirates, Kenny said: “Listen, it is disappointing.
“Arsenal are a completely different team this season, we have all seen that. It was away from home and Spurs have not got a good record there.
“I know they were already losing when they went down to 10 men but it made it tough. The red card made it very difficult.
“It was their first defeat of the season. They have to draw a line under it and move on. They were never going to go unbeaten all season.
“It is Brighton up next which will be equally tough. You cannot let one defeat effect you. You have to move on from it.”

Tottenham remain third in the table after the defeat.
Antonio Conte’s side travel to Eintracht Frankfurt and Brighton this week.
In other news, an injury expert has claimed Antonio Conte may now have a special request for Hugo Lloris amid the latest from Tottenham.
