Pundit issues ‘huge’ Jordan Henderson claim after confirmed Liverpool news
Jordan Henderson has improved “hugely” as a player and person ever since he first moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2011, according to Paul Robinson.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Tottenham and England goalkeeper delivered his verdict after Henderson was awarded an MBE.
As relayed by Liverpool last week (11 July), the 32-year-old had been given the award for his services to charity.
The Reds skipper was behind the Players Together initiative during the coronavirus pandemic and has since become an ambassador for the NHS Charities Together.
He also handed over his social media accounts to Cybersmile’s anti-cyberbullying campaign People Not Profiles earlier this year.
As quoted by club media, Henderson admitted he had been “greatly humbled” by the honour.
“If you look at the player he was at Sunderland, where he was playing and people were questioning the transfer and questioned whether he was good enough,” Robinson told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“I think he’s improved hugely as a player on the field and as a person and a role model off the field.
“It’s a huge credit to him because he’s invested in his own personal development both on and off the field and is getting the rewards for that now.
“To be playing at the level that he is now is a credit to himself.”

Henderson has won all domestic honours as well as the Champions League with Liverpool.
He was made club captain when Steven Gerrard left for LA Galaxy in the summer of 2015.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Liverpool are to cash in as a “surprise” £122million-a-year-plus deal is imminent.
