Pundit 'laughing' at 'cheap' Levy after Tottenham source's 'embarrassing' transfer update today
Paddy Kenny has slammed Daniel Levy’s “embarrassing” attempts to bring Adama Traore to Tottenham.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, is surprised Wolves have sanctioned the move.
Football Insider revealed on Friday that Spurs have agreed an initial £20million fee for Traore topped by £2.75m of add-ons.
A Tottenham source has updated on Saturday to reveal he is now set to discuss personal terms and prepare for a medical with the London club.
All parties are now confident that Traore will become a Spurs player by next week.
However, Spurs had an initial £15million bid rejected on 20 January, as per BBC Sport, and Kenny can’t believe the club’s “embarrassing” opening offer.

“I mean, what is that? £15milllion for him?” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I’m surprised Wolves are even selling him after that embarrassing opening offer.
“I wouldn’t have even picked up Levy’s calls after that, it’s so cheap. Did they ever actually think they would get Traore for that?
“It’s unbelievable, honestly. He is still a bargain at £22.75million and I appreciate that you want to get the best deal available.
“Seriously though, £15million. I’m laughing, that’s ridiculous.”
Traore scored his first goal of the season as Wolves beat Southampton 3-1 last weekend.
In 153 appearances for the club since signing from Middlesbrough in August 2018, he has scored 11 goals and supplied 18 assists.
