Pundit makes ‘incredible’ Man United claim after Romano update on appointing Conte
Man United have an “incredible squad” and Antonio Conte will be “licking his lips” at the prospect of managing it.
That is the view of former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 52-year-old potentially replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
According to Fabrizio Romano (25th October), Conte is ready to take over at Old Trafford but there is no proposal on the table.

Romano claimed for now, Solskjaer has the backing of the United board.
Conte has been out of work since he left Inter Milan at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
When asked by Football Insider if the ex-Chelsea manager would be a good fit at Old Trafford, Campbell said: “His resume says yes.
“Antonio Conte will be licking his lips if he could get hold of this United squad. Let’s be honest, that squad is incredible. From back to front, it is unbelievable.

” I am not surprised to hear Conte wants the job. He will want to let it be known that he wants it. United are a huge club, with a great squad and they have deep pockets.
“It is just going to add more pressure onto Ole. I like Ole, he is a lovely fellow. I hope he can get through it. But for me, the writing is on the wall after that performance at the weekend.”
In other news, a pundit has claimed Pogba will sign a new Man United deal on one condition after an ‘update’ from Raiola.
