Kenny makes 'unbelievable' Bielsa claim after Leeds starlets slammed
Paddy Kenny has warned Marcelo Bielsa not to be too critical of his Leeds United side after beating Fulham on penalties on Tuesday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds shot-stopper insisted the youngsters in the team “deserve a lot of praise” from the “unbelievable” manager.
As quoted by Leeds Live after the win, Bielsa dubbed it an “average” display and claimed they “conceded too many chances” to Fulham.
He admitted while he was pleased to progress after the game finished 0-0, he still had concerns over the performance of his side.
Bielsa named a much-changed starting XI against the Cottagers.
Youngsters Charlie Cresswell and Crysencio Summerville made their second and first starts respectively.

Meanwhile, Tyler Roberts replaced Patrick Bamford up front.
Under-23 prospects Stuart McKinstry and Joe Gelhardt also featured from the substitutes’ bench.
Kenny suggested Bielsa needs to pay his young talents “more praise”.
Kenny told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “He’s got high standards. We know he’s an unbelievable manager but you cannot play well every week.
“Sometimes it’s about just getting that result. With a lot of youngsters in that team, for me, they deserve a lot of praise.
“I know Fulham left players out but it’s a tough away game for a lot of young lads. A really big, competitive match.
“I think a bit more praise should put on them. At the end of the day, they’ve come away with the win. Whether it’s on penalties or not, a win’s a win sometimes.
“You cannot play well every week and you’ve got to be careful that you’re not to over-critical on these players. It’s all about winning a football match.
“You cannot be perfect. You do your job, I do my job, we can’t be perfect every day. We make mistakes.”
