“Lots of rumours flying round about Coutinho going on strike at Liverpool Football Club and being sold in this window,” wrote the ex-striker on the social media platform. “Head down again Phil help Liverpool in the CL and PL and you can have your dream move in the summer.”
The rumour mill is in full swing regarding a potential transfer of the 25-year-old to Barcelona in this window which went up a notch after sportswear giants Nike announced that the attacker was bound for Catalonia this January – now denied by all parties.
Coutinho is set to miss Friday’s mouthwatering FA Cup clash against Everton in the third round of the competition – it was announced in the Guardian, as he is receiving treatment for a thigh injury.
