Pundit ‘100% sure’ Phillips will quit Leeds for Man United if offer accepted
Kalvin Phillips may decide to quit for Man United if Leeds United accept their offer next summer, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Phillips’ ambition will outweigh his loyalty to Leeds.
The Sun reported last Thursday (9 December) Man United and Liverpool have emerged as frontrunners to sign the midfielder next summer.

The England star is out with a hamstring injury until at least February and by the end of the current campaign, he will only have two years left on his Leeds contract.
His absence has been keenly felt as Leeds have now lost 11 of their 13 Premier League games without him since the start of last season.
“Phillips will go wherever is good for him and wherever is good for his career,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Those rivalries are silly. I know Leeds and Man United have history but it’s not like it’s Leeds and Bradford or Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
“It’s not enough to stop him from playing Champions League football and playing at a big club like Manchester United.
“I’m 100 per cent sure he would still make that move if an offer is accepted. It’s not a rivalry that I think should stop a player from making the move. Eric Cantona did it, so I don’t think it will stop a player from moving.”

Phillips has played 226 times across all competitions for Leeds since making his debut in April 2015.
That includes 41 Premier League appearances, 40 of which were starts.
In other news, an injury expert has revealed a Leeds United star is ‘likely’ to be out for ‘four months’.
