Pundit: Rangers may sanction Goldson exit in January after confirmed news
Rangers will be relaxed about Connor Goldson’s contract situation, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Rangers would be happy to sanction a January exit for Goldson because he’s “replaceable”.
The defender revealed last week, via BBC Sport, that he has not heard anything from the club or his agent recently about a new deal.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at Ibrox at the end of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard admitted he is not confident that his vice-captain will commit to a new deal.
“If it was your star striker or your star winger, maybe it would have been all round up now,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But if it’s centre-half it’s not the first player you worry about losing even though he’s been very good for them.
“I’m sure Steven Gerrard is thinking, it’s only October, there’s plenty of time to sort it out. They know he won’t want to leave, he loves it there.
“I don’t blame Rangers. They’re probably waiting to see how he does this season. Then in March, April time they can sort it.
“I wouldn’t be worried about January. I feel if in the worst case they lost him it’s not going to be the end of the world for Rangers.
“He’s a good player but they’ll be thinking if he doesn’t want to be there then he can go if he wants.
“It’s different when it’s an attacking player. If you’re a centre-half, sometimes, you’re replaceable.”

Goldson did not miss a minute of action last season as Rangers lifted a historic 55th Scottish Premiership title.
The Englishman has now featured in 180 games across all competitions for the Gers.
In other news, a ‘massive’ Rangers figure could quit Ibrox amid a BBC update.
