Pundit salutes Vlasic after 'big' West Ham reveal from Moyes

Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Nikola Vlasic after West Ham progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds United and England number one said the 24-year-old’s display at the London Stadium was “his best in a West Ham shirt.”

Goals from Manuel Lanzini and Jarrod Bowen secured a 2-0 win for the Hammers over Leeds.

Vlasic completed 91 per cent of his passes and won eight duels in an impressive all-round performance yesterday. (SofaScore)

As quoted by Football.London (9 January), David Moyes lauded the Croatia international for his “bigger contribution”.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Vlasic’s development, Robinson said: “That was his best performance in a West Ham shirt.

“We are starting to see the player that he is.

“He was struggling early on but players take time to settle into the Premier League. The pace of the league is different to most others.

“I think the last two or three times that we’ve see him we’ve seen a little bit more each time. Slowly he is getting to the level we expected from a Croatia international.

“I was impressed yesterday. He cause Leeds a lot of problems.”

Vlasic joined West Ham on a five-year deal from CSKA Moscow in the summer.

He has contributed one goal and two assists in his 18 appearances for the Irons this season.
