Pundit shares 'big' West Ham prediction pre-Everton - 'I expect...'

West Ham have a “big” chance to kickstart their season by beating Everton this weekend.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the club’s start to the season.

West Ham have only won one of their six Premier League games so far this season.

However, despite an early scare, the Hammers did start their Europa Conference League campaign with a win by beating Ludogorets 3-1 on Thursday (8 September).

Kenny claims the win can give the Hammers the confidence to beat Everton on Sunday (18 September).

“Yeah, a disappointing start for them, they only have one win which we didn’t expect,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“No one thought West Ham would be down there after six games, especially considering how well they have done in the last two seasons.

“They did get that win and any win, it doesn’t matter in which competition, can build confidence and now they have something to build on.

“They have to take that into the Premier League because they have built this summer and they aren’t really showing it right now.

“I expect they will get some wins on the board soon, Everton this weekend is a big chance to do that.”

West Ham’s only win this season came against Aston Villa on 28 August.

They were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea in their last Premier League game last weekend (3 September).

In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed the UK Government are likely livid with West Ham as a Russian alliance emerges.
