Pundit shares 'massive' Newcastle United v Brentford prediction after 'big' thing he's seen

Newcastle United will soon rocket up the Premier League table into European contention.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Newcastle registered their first win since the opening day of the season by beating Fulham 4-1 on Saturday (1 October).

Howe’s side had become draw specialists since their opening day win, drawing five of their six games ahead of their trip to Craven Cottage.

The Toon now sit seventh in the Premier League and face Brentford at home on Saturday (8 October).

“I have been very impressed with Fulham this season so for Newcastle to go down there and get that result says a lot,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“There were a couple of different goalscorers as well. I think that is a really big win for them. The thing for them now is, they have to build on this.

“People mention the number of draws they have had but you have to remember that some of those are very creditable draws. They drew 3-3 with Man City.

“But you look at the home draws with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, Newcastle could really propel themselves up the table with some home wins against the likes of Brentford.

“That is a massive game for Newcastle but Ivan Toney will be looking to haunt his former side.”

Newcastle could welcome back Alexander Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin for the game against Brentford.

Callum Wilson returned to the starting XI and scoresheet against Fulham.

In other news, one oundit claims an ‘amazing’ Miguel Almiron development is ‘huge for Newcastle United’.
