Leeds in 'battle' to stop Phillips quitting as 'bids' expected after Euros - pundit
Kevin Phillips claims Leeds United will be inundated with offers for Kalvin Phillips once the Euros are over.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, has been blown away by the midfielder’s performances for England this summer.
Phillips has been outstanding for the Three Lions and has played a huge role in helping his country reach the last eight of the Euros.
He has played every minute of England’s campaign and could start against Ukraine on Saturday.
The midfielder has won over a number of doubters after showing his attacking side this summer.
As a result, Phillips claims there will be plenty of interest in the services of the Leeds man and claimed the club face a battle to keep him.

When asked if Leeds will be inundated with offers after the Euros, Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, “They will be, he’s a fantastic player.
“He’s getting better and better. When you watch him, you think about who he can play for.
“He can play for virtually any club with the style he plays with as a defensive midfielder.
“He can also get forward and has a great range of passing, he’s a big lad too.
“When you look at him up close he looks solid and he has a great attitude.
“As much as Leeds fans won’t want to hear this, brace yourselves for a couple of big bids after the Euros.
“He’s been fantastic and I thought he was outstanding against Germany.
“Leeds will face a battle to keep him if some of the big clubs come in for him.”
Phillips made 29 league appearances for the Whites last season.
Impressively, he managed to make his England debut before making his Premier League bow at the start of last season.
