Pundit verdict on Tanganga joining 'huge club' after offer accepted by Tottenham reportedly
Alan Hutton has told Japhet Tanganga to ascertain whether he is in the first-team frame at Tottenham before rushing into a proposed loan to Galatasaray.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender acknowledged the potential merits of moving to “huge club” Galatasaray.
The Athletic earlier this month (August 4th) Spurs had accepted a loan bid from Galatasaray for the English defender.
However, the 22-year-old is said to have held off making a decision as he waits to find out if he has a role to play under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Hutton backed the youngster’s decision to bide his time.
“However, he did suggest a move to Galatasaray would be a “great experience”.

“I rate Tanganga very highly,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“It’s a good place to be in for him to be wanted by clubs but I think he should see where he fits into Nuno’s plans at Spurs. He’s very versatile, he can play anywhere in the backline.
“He’s a very good one-v-one defender. I’ve watched some of Tottenham’s pre-season games and he has played really well.
“I think he has been unlucky under previous managers to not get the run of games he deserves.
“It would be a great experience to go to Galatasaray and play for such a huge club.
“It just adds something different to your game and helps you improve as a player and a person.“
Tanganga played just six Premier League games last season as he struggled with injury.
The Athletic claim that a Premier League loan for the defender is possible before the window closes on August 31.
