Goldson may have already ‘agreed’ Rangers exit in January after confirmed news – pundit
Frank McAvennie can’t understand why Rangers are continuing to play Connor Goldson while his future remains up in the air.
The former Celtic hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, refuses to believe the defender is committed to the cause at Ibrox.
Speaking to BT Sport, as quoted by the Scottish Sun, Goldson insisted he wants to stay at Rangers but also wants to see progression from the club.

His current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he is free to agree a pre-contract with foreign clubs in January.
Goldson still features regularly for Rangers and started today’s clash against St Mirren.
The defender has also been quoted by the Scottish Sun (20 October) as saying he has not spoken to the club or his agent about a new deal recently.
McAvennie claims Goldson is waiting to see what offers he receives in January before making his mind up over his future.
“I get he’s an important player,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But it doesn’t sit right with me that Goldson is still playing for Rangers.
“I’m just guessing but what if he’s had his head turned by another club already.
“He might have sorted a move for January and we just don’t know, again, I’m just guessing.
“But if he hasn’t signed the deal, he isn’t fully committed. If he really wanted to stay he would have signed the deal.
“I can’t imagine the fans are happy. It’s just all wrong to me. Why is he playing?

“Whatever happens, the situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
“I think he’s waiting until January to decide. He will see what offers come in.”
