Pundit 'wowed' by what he's seen from Elliott as 'remarkable' Liverpool medical team hailed
Frank McAvennie has labelled Harvey Elliott’s recovery “remarkable” after he was pictured training on grass at the Liverpool training centre.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, can’t believe the youngster’s progress.
Liverpool’s Twitter account posted a video earlier this week (15 November) showing Elliott, 18, stepping up his recovery at the club’s training base.
The attacker is currently unavailable with a fracture-dislocation of the ankle that he suffered against Leeds United at the beginning of September.
There were fears over how long the youngster would be out after sustaining his horror injury.
McAvennie can’t believe Elliott is already back on the training ground.

“I mean, that is just remarkable,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We all saw that tackle and it looked like one of those really, really nasty ones.
“Some of the stuff they have now, sports science has come so far in the last 10 years or so.
“Injuries that could have ruled you out for a year are now being treated in a matter of months.
“Fair play to the boy, he’s clearly working hard to get back. Why wouldn’t he?
“He wants to play in this incredible Liverpool team. It must be killing him, being sat on the sidelines watching on.
“I’m sure he will be back as soon as he’s able and wow, I just can’t believe he’s back on grass.
“That boy is a special talent, we all know that. I wish him all the best.”
