Put a bid in: Tottenham fans react on Twitter to reported Costa Chelsea bust-up

By Amir Mir

Diego Costa has been reportedly dropped by Chelsea after a row with a fitness coach – and Tottenham fans on Twitter are delighted with the news.

Sky Sports claimed on their official Twitter account that the 28-year-old has become unsettled by a £30million-a-year offer from China.

It is said that owner Roman Abramovich is not willing to sell the Spanish international who has two years remaining on his contract.

Fans on Twitter could not help but love the news about Costa as he has been one of their key players this season.

The former Athletico Madrid player has helped his side top the Premier League table after they went on a 13 game winning run.

That streak was ended by Spurs prior to the FA Cup matches, a game which Costa took part in as Mauricio Pochettino’s side claimed a 2-0 win.

Now supporters believe everything is now going wrong for the club after their defeat at White Hart Lane.

One fan even questioned whether that loss and the subsequent axing of Costa will lead to the title race opening up.

Antonio Conte’s side are five points ahead of second-placed Liverpool and seven points ahead of Spurs who sit in third place.

Another supporter even stated that chairman Daniel Levy should consider putting in a cheeky bid for the Brazillian-born player.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Costa has scored 14 goals in 19 Premier League games this season, he last netted during a home fixture against Stoke.

In other Tottenham news, this big gun has been axed in the best possible Spurs XI to face West Brom.
