Andrea Radrizzani has welcomed Leeds’ latest signing Matthew Pennington on Twitter following his arrival on Wednesday from Everton.
The Whites confirmed on their official website that the defender has completed a move to Elland Road on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old centre-back has joined the Championship side to experience regular first-team action after being on the fringes at Goodison Park.
Leeds owner Radrizzani has sent a message to Pennington on social media and thanked him for making the switch to the Yorkshire club.
“Thank you Matthew Pennington for choosing Leeds welcome and wish you all the best,” Radrizzani wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Thomas Christiansen has added the youngster to help bolster his defensive line, where the squad is currently short of options.
Pennington is now set to compete for a starting position alongside the likes of Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling and Pontus Jansson, but the latter will miss the start of the season through suspension.
Radrizzani has backed manager Christiansen in the transfer window and the Everton ace is the 10th addition of the summer.
Pennington has joined Samuel Saiz, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Madger Gomes, Pontus Jansson, Matuesz Klich, Had Sacko and Felix Wiedwal in new faces at the Yorkshire club.
