Radu Dragusin reveals what James Maddison did to him after devastating Spurs update
Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin shared an emotional message dedicated to James Maddison following confirmed news about his injury.
After what had been shaping up to be a promising pre-season under Thomas Frank, Tottenham have been dealt a major setback with Maddison once again facing time on the sidelines.
The England international had only just returned to full training this summer, having missed the end of last season, including the Europa League final, due to a knee injury.
However, hopes of a fresh start were dashed when Maddison was forced off during the friendly clash against Newcastle. Now, Spurs have delivered a devastating update confirming another injury blow for the midfielder.

Radu Dragusin responds as James Maddison suffers ACL injury
Tottenham confirmed on 7 August that Maddison will undergo surgery after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in his right knee.
Following the update, Dragusin shared a heartfelt message of support. He posted a photo of the two together on his Instagram story with the caption: “Every step of the way with you brother, just like you were with me.”

Dragusin himself suffered an ACL tear in February, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign and forcing him to miss the Europa League final. While he has yet to feature in pre-season, the defender has returned to individual training as he continues his recovery.
Before his injury, Dragusin had become an important figure at the back for Spurs amid a defensive crisis, making 28 appearances across all competitions and starting 14 Premier League games. He will be hoping to impress Frank again once fully fit.

Tottenham face competition over move for Jack Grealish
Tottenham were already in the market for a new creative midfielder before Maddison’s latest setback, with Spurs missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White earlier in the window.
Now, Maddison’s injury could accelerate their efforts.
Football Insider revealed Tottenham hold a strong interest in Jack Grealish, although they face competition from Everton, who are reportedly in discussions over a potential loan move.
While it’s unclear whether a deal can be reached before the window closes, Tottenham are expected to explore options in midfield, potentially advancing their interest in the Manchester City star.
