Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi updates emerge as new PFA stance revealed after Chelsea talks
Chelsea have been in talks with The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) about Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi’s situations at Stamford Bridge.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (16 September) Sterling and Disasi are now likely to remain at Chelsea until the January transfer window.
While the Saudi Pro League window remains open until 23 September, it is unlikely either player will make the move to the Middle East over the coming days.
Sterling and Disasi are believed to have turned down opportunities to leave Chelsea in the summer window following interest from other Premier League clubs.
The out-of-favour stars are part of the ‘bomb squad’ currently training away from Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad.

PFA ‘satisfied’ after Chelsea bomb-squad talks
Sterling shared a photo of his Chelsea training setup earlier this week, clearly showing his separation from the rest of the squad.
GiveMeSport reported on Friday (19 September) the PFA’s chief executive Maheta Molango has personally been in touch with the Blues over their handling of Sterling and Disasi.
The news outlet revealed the trade union for professional footballers in England is “satisfied” with the training conditions for both players.
However, it will continue to monitor the situation to ensure they stand the best possible chance of securing transfers away from Stamford Bridge in 2026.
Sterling was on loan at Arsenal last season, while Disasi spent the second half of the campaign with Aston Villa.

Although West Ham and Fulham were both interested in signing Sterling in the final few days of the summer transfer window, a move failed to materialise for the winger.
Meanwhile, Disasi had interest from the likes of Bournemouth, but he opted to remain at Stamford Bridge to fight for his place.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of this weekend’s clash against Manchester United, Maresca dismissed sympathy for Sterling and Disasi after insisting his father has had a harder life as a fisherman for the past 50 years.
Chelsea could offer Raheem Sterling £25m termination deal
Chelsea now have to decide on the next steps for the players as it appears their time at Stamford Bridge is over.
Finance expert Stefan Borson told Football Insider Chelsea could offer Sterling £25million to terminate his contract.
The 30-year-old is believed to be on around £300,000 a week, with his deal running until June 2027, having signed from Manchester City for £50m in 2022.
