Raheem Sterling posts new message after Arsenal deal termination update

Arsenal winger Raheem Sterling has shared a training ground update after it was reported Mikel Arteta’s side are not looking to cut his loan short.

According to the Standard, Arsenal will have the 30-year-old for the rest of the season as the winger “has no plans” to call it quits at the Emirates and return to Chelsea.

Sterling has struggled for minutes since making the temporary switch to North London, starting just four of his ten appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal, and providing two assists in 356 minutes of action.

The England international was a member of Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ alongside Ben Chilwell before securing the move across London late on transfer deadline day.

His loan move doesn’t include an option or obligation to buy, meaning Sterling will likely return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Raheem Sterling is determined to make Arsenal loan work despite a lack of opportunity

Arsenal currently sit in third, four points behind Sterling’s parent club and six points off league leaders Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.

Despite his lack of minutes, Sterling appears determined to make his move to Arsenal work, taking to Instagram to share a training ground image ahead of their League Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace on Wednesday (December 18).

Arteta’s side will then face Palace once again on Saturday (December 21), this time in the Premier League as they seek to keep the pressure on their title rivals.

Arsenal then face newly-promoted Ipswich Town in their last game in December, rounding off their hectic festive period.
