Raheem Sterling sends ‘final’ Arsenal message

Raheem Sterling had an update for supporters as Arsenal wrapped up preparations ahead of their upcoming clash with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Arsenal continue their push to secure a Champions League spot for next season, with a London derby against Palace on 23 April.

Sterling featured briefly in the Gunners’ dominant 4-0 win over Ipswich, coming off the bench for a 17-minute cameo, though he struggled to make a notable impact during his time on the pitch.

His involvement this season has largely been limited to a rotational role, having started just five Premier League matches so far.

Meanwhile, concerns were raised after Bukayo Saka was seen receiving treatment on the bench following a reckless challenge from Leif Davis.

Although Mikel Arteta later confirmed that Saka’s injury was not “serious” the incident could still prompt the Arsenal boss to make some changes to his lineup ahead of their next league fixture.

Raheem Sterling to return to Chelsea after underwhelming Arsenal loan

The winger shared a training update on his Instagram story, reposting an image from Arsenal training that read: “Final push before Palace.”

His loan spell at Arsenal has failed to live up to expectations. The England international has managed just one goal all season–a strike against Bolton in the EFL Cup back in September.

Football Insider previously revealed that Arsenal have no plans to pursue a permanent move for Sterling when his loan expires this summer.

This news follows when former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in November that Mikel Arteta had not been convinced by Sterling’s performances in training.

His limited game time has reflected that stance, with fans even calling for the winger’s loan to be cut short midway through the season. Despite the club showing support at the time, Sterling has continued to fall short of expectations.

With Sterling’s exit looking all but confirmed, Arsenal are expected to prioritise attacking reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window–especially after the impact of missing Saka during key parts of the season.

Football Insider has revealed that Arsenal have held talks with the representatives of Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, as Arteta eyes more trophy-winning experience and depth on the flanks.

Adding a player of Coman’s pedigree could provide the injection of quality Arsenal need as they look to compete on multiple fronts again next season.
