Raheem Sterling sent Chelsea warning by Agbonlahor after ‘raging’ reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has warned Raheem Sterling goals will be harder to come by at Chelsea than at Man City.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Sterling’s “numbers will go down” at Stamford Bridge.
After not finding the net in his first three appearances for Chelsea, the 27-year-old scored his first two goals for his new club in a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday (27 August).
He told Sky Sports last week (20 August) that his £47.5million exit from Man City to the Blues in the summer left him “fuming and raging”.
The England international won 10 major trophies at the Etihad but was a bit part player under Pep Guardiola last season.
Asked whether the nature of his exit at City could spur him on at Stamford Bridge, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Charlotte Cohen: “I think so.
“But Chelsea and Man City are totally different. I don’t feel he’ll score the goals that he did at Man City at Chelsea.
“There’s no Kevin De Bruyne, no David Silva when he was there, no Phil Foden, no Joao Cancelo.
“His numbers will go down at Chelsea and he’ll understand that.
“It will be harder to score goals at Chelsea than it was at Man City.”

Sterling scored 131 times and provided a further 96 assists in 339 appearances across all competitions for Man City before leaving the club.
He won the Premier League four times, the EFL Cup five times and one FA Cup with Guardiola’s side.
In other news, a “devastated” Harry Maguire could now join Chelsea after “shattering” news.
