Randal Kolo Muani ‘leads the charge’ to quit Tottenham as offer submitted, Spurs stance revealed

Randal Kolo Muani’s loan move to Tottenham has simply not worked out.

The 27-year-old striker completed a temporary switch to the North London club in the summer from PSG.

However, Kolo Muani has been poor at Tottenham, and is yet to even score a Premier League goal for Thomas Frank’s side.

Recently, Football Insider confirmed that Spurs were considering cutting Kolo Muani’s loan spell short before the end of the transfer window.

Now, this looks close to becoming a reality, with the transfer clearly being a failure to date.

Randal Kolo Muani wants to return to Juventus

According to the Gazzetta on 31 January, Kolo Muani is looking to return to Juventus before the transfer window closes.

The striker joined the Italian side on loan in the second half of the last campaign, where he netted 10 times in 22 matches in all competitions.

Now, the report states the 27-year-old is “leading the charge” to return to Turin.

Juventus are currently negotiating with Spurs and PSG to find a solution, with confidence growing that a deal can be struck.

However, a deal remains complex, with Tottenham wanting to recoup the investment they made in the summer, while the Old Lady isn’t willing to improve their offer given their lack of resources.

While Juventus are confident of reaching a deal with PSG, an agreement could be struck with Spurs by diverting part of the transaction fee to the English club, thanks to the player’s opt-out.

Where has it gone wrong for Kolo Muani at Tottenham?

Kolo Muani’s move to Spurs has no doubt been dreadful.

Despite making 24 appearances in all competitions, he only has three goals to his name in a Tottenham shirt.

According to Fotmob on 1 February, much of this is down to his lack of attacking intent when on the field.

Per 90 minutes, he is only averaging 1.06 shots, a 0.13 xG and 0.19 shots on target in the Premier League this season.

Therefore, it is no wonder he is yet to score in the Premier League when he is struggling to get shots away.

However, it remains to be seen if his time in the Premier League is set to come to a close in the coming days or if Spurs will keep hold of him until the end of the season.
