Rangers and Celtic stars tipped to join Premier League clubs after what pundit’s heard
Rangers and Celtic are at risk of losing several players to Premier League sides due to the impact of Brexit.
That’s according to former Hoops hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about who could make the journey down south this summer.
As revealed by Football Insider on Wednesday (8 June) Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay, 18, will undergo a Liverpool medical in the coming days after agreeing terms with the club.

According to Sky Sports (26 May), Aston Villa are among a number of Premier League clubs to have made enquiries about Rangers star Calvin Bassey, 22, ahead of the summer window with a £25million fee mooted.
McAvennie expects this trend to continue because of the UK’s exit from the European Union.
“I got told, whether it’s true or not, that the Premier League boys are looking up north now,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Rather than them coming in from abroad because of Brexit it is too hard to get them in.
“I’m thinking, ‘really’? Unless it is the big players. Liverpool are supposed to be buying the lad from Aberdeen.
“Those clubs seem to be looking up. Calvin Bassey as well. If he is worth £25million then I really don’t know what I am talking about.
“That’s Premier League money.”

Rangers lost Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa in November 2021.
Celtic also lost several of their first-team stars to the English top-flight in the summer of 2021 with Kristoffer Ajer and Odsonne Edouard joining Brentford and Crystal palace respectively.
