Murty must get to bottom of why Rangers attacker form has suddenly nosedived

COMMENT
Rangers attacker Josh Windass has been one of – if not the – most improved players in the Gers squad this season but has the 24-year-old had his head turned by interest in his during the January transfer window?
Preston were confirmed to have made a bid by Gers boss Graeme Murty while a number of other Championship sides have been credited with an interest in the attacker.
Since the Gers have returned to action following the winter break, Windass has struggled to carry his pre-winter break form into games at what is arguably the worst possible time.
With a number of new signings in the door at Ibrox this month who could provide competition for Windass mean the former Accrington star really needs to get back to his best as quickly as possible.
After the interest from down south, has Windass bought into the hype surrounding him and took his eye off the ball and let his performances drop or is the midfielder coming out the other end of what will simply prove to have been a purple patch?
Murty will need to get to the bottom of why Windass’ performances have nosedived recently and get him back to where he was before the winter break or move him on elsewhere and cash in on the 24-year-old.
